That's all over the world--for example in Rabinal Guatamala Fr. Tim Conlan is a priest I know who is a missionary in Rabinal. He works in the oldest church in Central America, built by Bartholomew de las Casas, a Dominican priest who was famous for his defense of the native peoples of the America and his opposition to slavery. De las Casas went back to Spain for a while and obtained laws stopping the slave trade from the King --orders often ignored. Fr. Conlan, like De las Casas, is a Dominican, and is dedicated to the people he serves. I get emails from time to time from Fr. Tim and I have one to share with you. I hope you can help his work.
