Wonderful article in the Denver Post recently on health care for rural Americans. In spite of clean air and healthy exercise the life span of rural Americans in modern times has been shorter than their urban counter parts. There are many reasons for this, including poverty, pesticide exposure for farmworkers, education levels, etc. But also, as this article points out, health care costs more in rural areas. http://www.denverpost.com/opinion/ci_17684227
Paul Ryan should perhaps look at the writings of Benedict and other recent popes on redistribution. they are most definitely teaching redistribution to help the poor, as this America article attests. America Magazine Benedict XVI weighs in on "Redistribution" : 'via Blog this'
